Inspiring minds, building futures
If you're a casual relief teacher who's passionate about helping young people become Ready For Life, we'd love to hear from you.

- Supportive culture — you'll be welcomed, included, and backed by colleagues and leaders
- Regular work available, including pre-booked blocks (including term or semester stints)
- Opportunities to attend on-site Professional Learning to suit your career development needs
- Support for Early Career Teachers to move to Full Registration as part of their work at Highview College
- Clear pathways to ongoing roles as opportunities arise
What teaching areas are we interested in?
We welcome CRT EOIs from teachers across all learning areas. As a Year 7-12 school with a strong VCE program and a growing VCE VM (Applied Learning) pathway, we're keen to connect with high-quality educators who can step in confidently and keep learning moving.
Why Highview?
You'll be part of a school guided by our GRACE Values: Growth, Respect, Aspiration, Compassion and Excellence—and supported through an excellent induction and ongoing staff support. We're located in a friendly rural town that supports a healthy work-life balance, with Ballarat and Bendigo less than an hour away.
How to register your interest and what happens next
Submit your CV and a brief cover letter outlining:
- your teaching methods/learning areas
- year levels you're comfortable with
- your availability (including interest in short-notice days and/or longer blocks)
We'll contact you by phone or email for an initial conversation. If there's a match, we'll progress you through our CRT onboarding so you're ready to be booked. If a longer block or an ongoing opportunity becomes available, we'll reach out to discuss next steps.
